8th of March

H&M sweater and shoes, Primark blouse, River Island dress (the one from my sidebar!)
The guy walking by in the last photo is actually my teacher from high school. My face = me realizing that.

Yesterday afternoon my brother called and asked if I wanted to go see Ben Folds at Paradiso. Initially I said no, because I don't really love Ben Folds. But then my brother said he'd pay for my ticket so then it was okay. In return I got us giant burgers at Hardrock Cafe. It's really great when my brother comes to visit, we get along so well but we don't see each other that often. The gig was actually really fun, Ben Folds is a very talented and funny guy!

I know I blogged about Sufjan Stevens a couple days ago, and I don't mean to turn this into Pitchfork 2.0, but I've been going through some of his recent setlists and he's mostly been playing songs off Age Of Adz. Just about three (wonderful) old ones, like the one below. But Sufjan, if you're reading: more old songs, mkay?

shades of pale pink are my favourite at the moment!

I actually went to see Sufjan a few weeks ago and was so enraptured by the whole show (there are so many wonderful surprises that erupt with each song) that i didn't feel like anything was missing even though he only played a few old songs! it was the mark of a very very well planned set, i think.

anyway, that was my unsolicited review. it was the best show i've ever been to EVER!

Thanks everyone!

@Chelsea Jade: ah, thanks for that, love! I wouldn't really doubt anything Mr Stevens does, but I've never seen him live even though he's one of my all-time favorite artists. Especially his Illinois album means so much to me and I'd love love love to see him perform that. But I just need to get into Age Of Adz, I guess. I'm sure it'll be lovely live!

Beautiful outfit! I love the mix of pinks.

Also I am a huge Sufjan Stevens fan and I tend to prefer his older stuff as well. I can't decide if it's because I actually like the old music better or because it has such good associations for me.
