Ok, for once this is not just me being bitter cause I can't afford anything, honestly; I saw the H&M x Lanvin collection today and the quality is a joke. I don't understand why people are willing to pay 150€-200€ for stuff that's even lower quality than regular H&M.

You know when I first saw the Lanvin ads I was really excited and they looked well made...but I just saw someone's post of the dresses she has from the collection and the hem lines were freying everywhere. I was a little shocked I mean I understand that it's H&M but you are also still spending 100 to 200 on a dress. That's a lot of money. For that price I don't expect to see that. I mean I would understand if it was cheaper like $30 or so. But even their $30 don't look that shabby. I still have yet to get to an H&M and check out the collection for myself.

You can pick up vintage lanvin cheaply if you look hard enough, I picked up a dress in London for £13

The yellow dress is suppose to look that way (which I find ridiculous since it does look shabbier instead of chic). But next to the stories about the quality and the designs which weren't my taste the online website sucked. It went offline this morning because they couldn't handle it (and this isn't their 1st designer collection so they should have back up and all). But it's good to find someone else in this blogger word that isn't too sad by being empty handed :)
What a bummer. :( I still like those sunnies though.. I wish we had an H&M here in Hawaii!! booooo.
Hope you're having a great day Laura.. Hugs!
xx Love & Aloha
I totally agree with you there!
hahahaha, I haven´t seen the collection in person but I wasn´t willing to be waiting at the shop at 5 o o'clock in the morning like a lot of people did...
Its just like forever 21, they both were good stores back in the day. But it seems like now a days they just want to produce as much stuff fast to make money. Quantity over quality, sad but true.
xo
I think people want to have an illusion that they have something from 'the top' but they don't think that maybe it looks like lanvin or sonia rykiel etc. but it has MUCH lower quality and it costs ridiculusly high. I'll never understand it.
100% agree. It's a joke really. In London, people queued overnight for the store to open this morning! Ridiculous. x
I totally agree with you!!! The quality and costs are a joke.I feel relief at this statement because I'm not lonely :) And Heather is right I saw too the dress on a blogger and hem lines were freying everywhere. I just like the sunnies I think.
i felt the same :X Not good for them, this looks like an "on top of the knee" (ahah) project. Since the clothes are all so badly finished. I agree that even the high price dresses they usually have on the store have better quality. *
I think the same Laura!
I agree 100% with you. More: Most people in that line didn't know Lanvin even two months ago... well, this topic could be discussed for too long, so the important is, you are right. And I prefer to wear a simple Tee with jeans than to pay that price for a piece that probably won't suit me ok, just because it's Lanvin.
Despite that, i still dream about the Lanvin black coat that Katherine Heigl is wearing on a commercial while ago***
I totally agree with all of you and I'm relieved that there's somene who's still able to think by him\herself!
Plus, the advertising was so massive that I was bored of the dresses before they arrived in shops!
Because it has 'Lanvin' on the label x hivennn.
I went to see the collection in one of the H&M stores of Paris today and the quality really is very poor. I don't understand it! It wasn't only the yellow dress (that is supposed to look like that?), but everything was badly made. I don't know the word in English, but anyway there were threads dangling and the pieces seemed unfinished to me.
